A smart watch, funded by crowd-sourced financing, which can receive texts and emails when linked to an Android or Apple phone will be in production later this month.Called Pebble, the watch has 3.2cm e-ink black and white display and costs $150.The project to develop Pebble started in April 2012 when the founder, Eric Migicovsky, asked for $100,000 on Kickstarter and got $10m after 38 days.Initial production is set at 15,000 watches a week.Apple and Intel are said to be producing a smart watch. The Peoples’ Pebble seems to have pipped them to the post.
